Life

Today wasn’t the best day for me, but I’m still living so I can’t complain. I learn new things from people everyday and it just builds me up as a person . Besides how my day went I just pray everything goes back normal corona has literally taken over everything.

So far my break has been boring due to the fact that  we have to stay home , although I still have been going to work . Other than home and work I haven’t done anything really . I soon hope that this virus will go away so everything can go back normal

Presentation day

Today we got in our groups and did our presentations on the certain task we were assigned that’s also how we got formed in our groups

Regular school day

today we had individual work we were assigned which tomorrow we’re going to present it, the work was dealing with chapter 17& 18 in kite runner

The Kite runner

In chapter 1 we find out that something happened to Amir at the age of 12 which has made him what he is today.He received a phone call from Rahim Khan, who is in Pakistan, last summer. He asks Amir to come to Pakistan and see him.Once off the phone he takes a walk in the park, noticing 2 red kites which remind him of Hassan. starting with chapter 2  Amir reminisces about his childhood with Hassan and how they used to be troublemakers
We are given a detailed description of Hassan, and find out his is a loyal friend.Hassan is a Hazara and Amir is a Pashtun. Amir finds out that the Hazara had an uprising which was brutally suppressed by the Pashtuns.In chapter 3 We get a description of Baba, who comes across a little scary. He does all the things people say he cannot: design and build an orphanage, marry well, become a successful business man etc... also Amir tries to impress his father, but thinks his talents (reading and poetry) are not considered manly enough by Baba.

Presenting my project

today I was assigned to present my project , I got kind of nervous when I got up there so I started to panic forget some of my poem that’s I had to recite . I think with me talking in front of crowds with help me overcome that small problem.

Mother to son / son to mother

Today we went over two poems , the two poems we went over were some what similar but not exactly. They both had different meanings but similar if that makes since . I enjoyed reading the poems today ... I also love the concept we have before going over a poem . Mr. Rease makes us brainstorm before reading the actual poem , this helps us understand the poem better

Nigger / nigga

We went over these two words and discussed on how they are alike and different, also where they come from . These two words can be found very offensive to many but slightly offensive to few

Music

today we talked about what music meant to us and how music makes us feel . To me music is my escape from everything ... when I’m going through hard times like right now I just listen to music to get my mind off certain things , when I feel like I don’t have anyone to talk to I just go listen to music . I tend to listen to songs pertaining to what I’m going through , even though it makes me feel even worse It’s just the feeling of Being able to relate to the music. Music helps me calm my nerves and just clear my mind I honestly don’t know what I would do if we didn’t have music

Maya Angelou

Today in class we went over another Maya Angelou poem , to me these poems are easier to comprehend and understand .The main question of the day “happiness is a decision”. Her poems help me think back into the old days and how they celebrated

Therapy hour

today We had a lot of questions we were asked to answer which led us into a class discussion about each question . The questions that he asked us were kind of deep to some students in the class and it made me realize that there are so many things we don’t know about a person until we ask or have a full discussion about life basically. It’s important to ask questions especially ones that help one express themselves in a way .

Senior night

What a song means to you

Today makes me think deeper about what songs can actually make you think about or even relate to . We had to pick 10 songs and explain what the song reminds us of I can honestly say everyone in the class had different variety of songs with so many different meanings which was actually a good thing .

Regular day

Our teacher was out today , we we’re assigned to read and do critical thinking questions , overall this has been a terrible day for me .

Day before game dayy

today we got back in groups and went over open ended questions about the pardoners tale . The strategy we used was to think about the work as a whole to answer the question and not just one part of the story but only if asked too .

Another day another dollar

today wasn’t the best day for me but I made it through... I have  confidence that I’m going to pass the Ap exam this year . I feel like I know what I need to work on and master in and I can fix those mistakes and improve within the rest of this year . Today we took the questions we created yesterday and answered them within the people in our groups , I absolutely think this is a great way to improve mylearning process for me .

Game day for a cheerleader

Well today we had a big game Rain Vs Blount ... I’m a cheerleader for Rain highschool for those who didn’t know . Today in English Ap lit we practiced multiple choice on the shirts story we read on yesterday . I feel like I’m getting better due to how much practice we have in Mr. Rease’s class . After we took the quiz we went over each question and discussed them .

Leading new things

I really enjoyed today . I was more into the lesson than usual we went from topic to topic and I actually was comprehending everything that was going on in the story . One thing I learned today was to never be greedy and never seek for greed also . Money is the root of all evil and can lead you to do some evil things

Friday fun day

Reflecting on today we talking about a lot of things , we finished “The Canterbury Tales” . While reading we discussed about marriages in today’s society and if they related to the story . I feel like it was the same but also different . In my opinion a woman desires to feel loved the reassurance of love as well and to just all around feel appreciated . I also agree with the fact  that most woman control their marriage  instead of the men . Woman have more say so although the men might give choices most of the time it’s still her decision..

Tales and stories

I really enjoyed learning about “The Canterbury Tales “ today in class it was very interesting to read , I absolutely hate reading , but I can actually say I like reading this one . We got introduced to many characters and they were well described in the short story . I like to read short stories that I can comprehend better without having to search for all of the details .. although that prepares me to do better

Effort

Today in class we watched another Ted talk video dealing with effort . Effort means everything , mostly everything you do in life involves  and takes alot of effort . We also seen that people who put in more effort tend to accomplish more and expand more than the ones who just do enough to get by .

First day back

Today we listened to a motivational speech from Ted talk and looked at the more important things that the video contained
